Foundation's 5th Annual Luncheon will review the current state of wrongful death lawsuits against the City of Seattle & Police Department and set goals regarding creating a Citizen's Review Board and reforming the inquest process. Speakers: Larry Gossett, Ophelia Ealy, Walt Atkinson of DoJ (tentative), Lisa Maxwell (tentative).

The Michael Randall Ealy Social Justice Foundation (MRESJF) will be holding its 5th Annual Luncheon/Meeting on Saturday, February 21, 2004 from Noon to 2:30pm at the Ebenezer AME Zion Church downstairs meeting hall, 23rd & Olive in Seattle. The purpose of this event is to review the current state of wrongful death lawsuits against the City of Seattle & Police Department (particularly in the Michael Randall Ealy and Shawn Maxwell cases), and set goals regarding creating a Citizen's Review Board for police misconduct cases and reforming the inquest process. The speakers at this event will include King County councilman Larry Gossett, MRESJF founder Ophelia Randall Ealy, witnesses to the Seattle Police killing of Shawn Maxwell, the Department of Justice's Walt Atkinson (tentative), and Shawn Maxwell's mother Lisa Maxwell (tentative). There will be time for a Q&A session, and fact sheets on these cases will be available.
