SolarFest, Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Fair

Saturday July 18th 10am – 8PM at Shoreline Community College West Parking lot,
SolarFest is Free, Parking $2.00, walking, biking, and public transportation is encouraged

There will be:
-Exhibitors to educate amuse and entice
-Kid Zone features hands on activities including solar cookers, solar fountains, and using recycled materials to make things that move with solar power.
-Taste of Shoreline sponsored by the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce will feature Southern, Asian and Midwestern cuisine.
-Live Music
-Beer Garden by Sierra Nevada Brewery
-Speakers and presentations
-Elected Officials speak on energy and environmental policy
-Film Festival
-Transportation Zone with alternative fuel vehicles and electric cars


The Fair began in 2004 to celebrate the first Solar Installation on a public school in Shoreline and to help people make informed decisions regarding their use of resources including energy, transportation, and food. Showcased are organizations and business that apply concepts of conservation and sustainability in their business models and practices. This is the longest running event of its kind in the Puget Sound Region.
