"Friday Night At the Meaningful Movies" is pleased to present our last film for the season (back Sept. 3rd): the eye-opening film, "Taken For A Ride" - Something to think about as some of us cruise the American highways on summer vacation: Why Does America Have the Worst Public Transit in the Industrialized World? This is the story of the undermining of our mass transit in the early 20th Century lead by General Motors, that still plagues us today. Followed by a PRESENTATION AND OPEN DISCUSSION on Transportation Options in Seattle with Peter Luyckx, Interim Education Director with the Cascade Bicycle Club, and Lisa Quinn with The Urban Mobility Group, who will present alternatives to the current transportation situation in the Seattle area.
